Located in the compact seafront suite at Bournemouth’s leading entertainment venue, our great new festival is now in its second year, offering the best in folk music, song and dance.

Bournemouth Folk Festival covers the broader definition of folk music with afternoon concerts by Martyn Joseph, Martha Tilston and Emily Barker and dancing to Ceilidh band Cut-A-Shine, The Moulettes and the Afro-Cuban Congolese rhythms of Grupo Lokito in the evening.
The Purbeck Lounge hosts our second stage which has music throughout the afternoon with a more relaxed atmosphere, and back to a more formal concert setting for the evening. This room has great panoramic views across the bay from The Needles to Old Harry Rock.
Wanna get more involved? How about joining in one (or more) of the workshops?

After last year’s success Jeremy Avis is returning to run another singing workshop, and we also have accordeon with Folk Award 'Musician Of The Year' Andy Cutting, songwriting with Martyn Joseph and guitar accompaniment with Alex Roberts. |
